I know it sounds like an incredibly complicated exercise, but if you’re trying to pick the best college football player for your favorite team, here’s the most important thing to know: If you want to watch a college football game, you’ll have to pick from a large group of people who don’t have any real connection to the game.
That means you’ll likely be more likely to see some great players on your favorite teams, but the odds are you won’t see many of them.

The top 100 NFL players are selected by the league’s most famous fan base, and for a reason: The NFL has a reputation for being one of college football’s most boring sports.
So you might want to avoid the likes of Marcus Mariota and Christian McCaffrey, if you can.
For the most part, the list below is based on my personal opinion and the best player I could find in my college football knowledge base.
However, there are some outliers, such as players like Robert Griffin III and Cam Newton who I would never have picked to be NFL MVP.
This is not an exhaustive list, so if you have any questions, please leave them in the comments below.
